What parking is available?

The library features an 76 space parking garage. The entrance opens to the street level on Golden Gate Way. Street parking is available as well. For directions to the library, click HERE.

What resources are available at the Library?

Lafayette Library houses a collection of over 90,000 items including books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, and more. Ebooks and a wide variety of online sources and databases are available through the County Library’s website and patrons are able to gain access to all materials within the 26 library system through its shared catalog. LinkPlus services provide additional opportunities to borrow books and materials from outside of the County Library’s resources from large academic and research library collections. Are there study rooms?

There are three small study rooms inside the library. Patrons may use the small meeting rooms in the library for up to 2 hours per day. Patrons may make a same-day reservation by signing up at the Information Desk at the library. These rooms are available on a first come, first serve basis. There is no charge for same-day reservations.

To reserve any room for a future date, patrons should contact the LLLC Foundation at 925-283-6513 x101. Rental fees apply. Check here for information on renting a room in the library.

Does the library have computers?

The library offers computers for public usage which includes access to the Internet. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the library.

Is there a printer and copier available?

Printer services are available through our public computers offering black and white or color options. Two copier machines are available. BW copies are $.15 and color copies are $.50 per page for both services.

What is the food policy inside the library?

Outside tables and benches offer patrons options for eating when visiting the library. Food is not allowed inside the Lafayette Library. Covered drinks are allowed except at public computers where all beverages are restricted.
