Located at the Community Hall

Designed for: Adults (18+), Seniors

In this digital, hyper-connected world of social media, tweets, texts, and emails, communication rules every aspect of our personal, professional, political, and daily lives (just ask the presidential candidates!).

Author and astrologist Leslie McGuirk explains in her new book, The Power of Mercury, how Mercury oversees our intelligence, mind, and memory, and impacts our ability to listen, speak, write, and negotiation. Three to four times a year, as Mercury speeds past Earth, Mercury goes into a Mercury Retrograde causing turbulence and disruption to all types of communication.

With equal parts humor and practicality, McGuirk reveals the mysteries of Mercury Retrograde, offers advice on how to flourish during this period, and explains how understanding your own personal Mercury sign can improve communication and unleash new creativity.

Leslie McGuirk has 30 years of experience in the ancient science of Astrology. A science embraced by great thinkers such as Hippocrates, Leonardo da Vinci, Sir Isaac Newton and Carl Jung. She speaks at corporate conferences, and five star spas around the world. McGuirk, an illustrator, speaker, author and astrologist will visit the Lafayette Library and Learning Center after delivering a Tedx Talk in Hollywood on The Importance of Being Wrong.
