British actor and writer Stephen Fry explores his passion for the world's most controversial composer, Richard Wagner. But Stephen is Jewish and lost family members in the Holocaust, so can he salvage the music he loves from its dark association with anti-semitism and the Nazis? Shot on location in Germany, Switzerland and Russia, this is a must-see film for those who want to address the complexities and ambiguities associated with cancel culture. Admission to the film at the Lafayette Library: $5.00.

This film screening kicks off a 3-part online program that examines different aspects of cancel culture, including literature and music. The three online New Lehrhaus sessions are on Wednesdays: 11/30, 12/7 and 12/14 at 7PM.  For more information on the panelists and to register, go to newlehrhaus.org.  Admission for this course is $36.
