CHP Presents: Age Well, Drive Smart

Tuesday, June 26, 2018 10:00 AM
Located at the Arts & Science Discovery Center
For licensed drivers from 20 years to 120 years to stay driving longer and safer!

This free, interactive, entertaining program presents: tips to understand driving safety; important and new traffic laws; bicycle and pedestrian safety; distracted driving information; inexpensive car safety accessories; resources; a discussion on road rage; DUI and much more.

Some of the information provided: how to develop a "plan" before you stop driving; a Transportation Cost Worksheet shows how to calculate current vehicle operating costs, illustrating available funds for public transportation if and when needed; and the opportunity to speak with and listen to a California Highway Patrol Officer in person.

At the end of the program, licensed attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance.

Many California car insurance companies have recently increased their rates on car insurance.  For licensed drivers over the age of 55 years, this Certificate of Attendance may help to offset the increases in your car insurance rates by applying for the Mature Driver Discount (which is separate and different from your Century Age Discount).
