Free tech help by appointment!

ONE ON ONE HELP: Local Teens can answer almost any question to suit your needs. Just ask!  We can help solve most problems you might encounter with your smart phone, laptop, MP3 player, eBook reader or most other consumer technology products.

PERSONAL HELP Friendly, one-on-one instruction and assistance. Help available to all ages. Please bring your device with you. To make an appointment, please call the library at 925-385-2280 or come to the Information Desk during library open hours.  Teen tech helpers are available for 30 minute time slots.

Please note that Teen Tech Help volunteers cannot perform the following activities:

  • Repair or work on your device
  • Install Hardware
  • Software or updates on your device (library apps excluded)
  • Provide Word Processing or any other clerical work
  • Provide private lessons or accept payment of any kind
  • Recommend products for you to buy
  • Do your online shopping or internet transactions
  • Place online ads or social media posts for you

High School volunteers are available for Free after school homework help for students 4th-12th grade from 3:30pm to 5:00pm!   These appointments are meant to help with homework and drills and are not meant as structured teaching, lessons or tutoring.  Homework Help Sessions are 30 minutes each. More time available if no one is waiting.

Specialties include English, Social Studies, Math, and Science.

It's block and brick building time at the library! See what you can build with our huge collection of building materials, Legos, Duplos, blocks, and more! All creations stay in the library. Best for ages 4 and up. We ask that caregivers keep an eye on their little ones as small Lego pieces pose a choking hazard for young children. No registration is required.
