Join us for a talk and discussion on ‘The Customs & Origins of Lunar New Year’ with artist and Asian Art Museum docent Pauline Tsui.

Find out how the spring festival is celebrated in Asia and the U.S. Learn about proper greetings for New Year’s Day, the familial festivities, meanings of food and lucky decorations.

After the talk, Pauline will demonstrate painting auspicious flowers and zodiac animals for a lucky banner. Participants will receive small lucky souvenirs (red envelopes with candies or lucky banners).
