WOW Presents: The Life and Art of Robert Rauschenberg

Wednesday, January 10, 2018 · 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Located at the Community Hall

Designed for: Adults (18+), Seniors

Independent art lecturer and museum docent Avril Angevine brings to life the work of Robert Rauschenberg, one of the most influential artists of our time. He constantly innovated; combined painting, collage, and sculpture; and worked with everything from photographs to newspaper ads, from scavenged items – including a stuffed goat and automobile tires – to a vat of bubbling mud. This lecture complements the Robert Rauschenberg: Erasing the Rules exhibit at SFMOMA which runs from November 18, 2017 to March 25, 2018.
