Phillip R. Lemos Legacy Giving Program

Invest in the Future of Your Community

When you make a legacy gift to the LLLC Foundation you are invited to become a member of the Phillip R. Lemos Legacy Giving Program.

The Legacy Giving Program recognizes individuals who demonstrate their deep commitment to the Lafayette Library through their foresight and generosity.

About the Program

When you make a bequest through your will or trust, there are three types of gifts you might consider. The first, residual, is the most flexible as it allows your gift to appreciate in your will/ trust, no matter what asset is used. Residual bequests are often made as a way to remember relatives and friends. The second, a specific bequest of an asset such as a retirement plan, results in no more income taxes paid on the plan by your estate.

More information, including sample language you may wish to use in your estate planning documents, is available below.
