We are the Lafayette Library and Learning Center Foundation. We exist to care for something our community treasures—our library. The place in the center of our city where children fall in love with stories. Where students find their quiet corner. Where people from every walk of life gather to connect.
In a world that feels increasingly fragmented, that’s not nothing. That’s everything.
We fund the people and programs that make our library extraordinary. The events that bring people together. The
experiences that make the building feel like a living, breathing part of Lafayette.
But here’s what most people don’t know. Most of this isn’t paid for by taxes. That’s where the Library Foundation comes in—filling the gap and providing more than half the funding to keep the library running. The vital programs, but also the extra staff hours, the lights, the water, and the upkeep.
Lafayette has always looked after its shared community. That’s why our library is extraordinary. And why with your support, it always will be.
We Look After Our Library

We Fund the Essentials for Our Library
We’re the main source of funding for the Library. We fund the vital programs, but also the extra staff hours, the lights, the water, and the upkeep.
