Join us for a timely and thought-provoking conversation with Dan Pfeiffer—co-host of the chart-topping podcast Pod Save America and former White House Communications Director—for an inside look at today’s political landscape and what it means for the road ahead. Known for its sharp insight and straight talk, Pod Save America bills itself as a “no-bull**** conversation about politics” and has reached more than one billion downloads worldwide.

Dan will be in conversation with Marisa Lagos, a correspondent for KQED's California Politics and Government Desk and co-host of the award-winning show and podcast, Political Breakdown.

As one of President Barack Obama’s longest-serving advisors, Pfeiffer played a central role in shaping modern political communication. He joined Obama’s first presidential campaign at its outset, rising from traveling press secretary to campaign communications director, and later served in the White House as Deputy Communications Director, Communications Director, and Senior Advisor. In these roles, he helped redefine how presidents communicate—pioneering the use of digital platforms and nontraditional media to reach and mobilize the public.

In this engaging program, Pfeiffer will share his perspective on the current political environment, what to watch for in this critical midterm election year, and how citizens can cut through misinformation to make a meaningful difference. Drawing on his experience and his latest book, Battling the Big Lie: How Fox, Facebook, and the MAGA Media Are Destroying America, Pfeiffer offers a clear-eyed analysis of today’s media ecosystem—and a compelling call to action for those who care about the future of democracy.
